WHEN: Monday, October 20 2008 06:30 PM
TICKET PRICE: FREE, RSVP required below

What happens when two “fed-up” moms try to change the school lunch program to fight for the health of America’s children? "Two Angry Moms" stir up some excitement with a recipe for taking action in this documentary of their nationwide school sojourn that inspires alternatives, champions change, and gives you the ingredients you need to make a difference in YOUR neighborhood.

Shaping Youth will be hosting the film to support filmmaker Amy Kalafa’s national crusade for healthier school lunches, and to raise local awareness about our own nonprofit’s wellness programs, including a hands-on 'reality show' called "Dare to Compare: A Gross Out Game for Good Nutrition.” We’d like to scale our efforts for open source internet access and make our tactics available to any and all change-makers in this arena!

Join Shaping Youth’s Founder/Exec. Dir. Amy Jussel in enthusiastically welcoming filmmaker Amy Kalafa of Two Angry Moms to find out how YOU can serve up some change in your school lunch programs, and blend healthier choices into your own kids’ meals!

Hosted by Amy Jussel of Shaping Youth.org (dealing w/media & marketing's impact on kids) with our new venue partner on the peninsula, Parents Place.

Each attendee will receive a FREE Green Zebra 2008 edition (valued at $25) for Local Savings for Sustainable Living, introducing you to fresh, organic finds and healthy businesses throughout the peninsula, to use up fast by year’s end! (2009 edition coming soon!)
